While I’ve been relatively silent, 2014 has been a really fun year. I’ve been dabbling with projects of all shapes and sizes, finding myself doing lots of exciting work in sales to business development to strategy to customer service. In fact, I’m still hunting for the thing that marries all of those passions. But while I hunt, I want to share what I’ve been up to as of late. Recently, I formed an alliance with someone some of you probably know. Together, we’re teaching tactics that will make you more efficient with your life and your business. If that is something you’d like to do, please keep on reading and we’d very much appreciate your support.
This project comes all the way from two corners of the earth: New York and Singapore. The amazing Andrew Wee and I have banded together to create the ultimate lifehacking guide. We’ve got five modules to start with, modules that have taken us hours to craft and years to perfect.
I hope you’re interested in learning more. Below, our pitch….
Hey there,
We are Andrew Wee and Tamar Weinberg.
Since starting our own businesses within the last 15 years, we’ve had to be more efficient in using our time and making sure we don’t spend all day playing Warcraft or watching a marathon of 24 or Game of Thrones — that doesn’t put food on the table.
Running your own business gives you a lot of freedom, but it also meant that it’s easy to fall into the trap of procrastination and getting nothing done.
So when the pain of a near-zero bank balance hit us and the reality kicked in that the families relying on us wouldn’t get the financial support they needed, we kicked ourselves in the butt to get things moving.
Over the last eight years, we had to figure out the best ways of getting stuff done under a tight time limit and often doing everything to meet the family budget. All this while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. (Both of us are married with 2 young kids each. And, no, we’re not married to each other!)
In fact, Tamar has written for top tech blog Lifehacker, and that requires a lot of tweaking and testing in order to find the things that make our lives easier.
We’ve both tested conventional stuff like setting goals and managing our time, and Andrew has dabbled in the wackier stuff like multi-phasic sleep (e.g: sleep 2-3 hours at a time, working for a few hours, sleeping a few more hours then waking again. Rinse and repeat. Conclusion: Andrew had a massive migraine and went back to sleeping my 4 to 6 hours a night then taking a 1- or 2-hour power nap in the afternoon. It seems to be working so far…).
We want you to benefit from some of our techniques that we still use in managing ourselves and our business (hint: we’re fairly creative, so that also means we’re not the most organized people… except in our electronic communications, which Tamar will go into in her inbox zero tutorial.)
The offer:
Our intention is to make something pretty freaking useful, that you can take and apply in your personal life, your social life, and your professional life. The goal is to help you have a big chunk of fun, reduce frustration, and experience the same sense of satisfaction we get from getting more control of our time and our environment.
We will be creating a lifehacking guide from scratch, and sharing five techniques, based on how we use them in our daily lives.
Yeah, sure, we could make a list of 99 lifehacks and mention them in a sentence like “Use RememberTheMilk.com to ping yourself for important stuff”, but in the age of 5-second soundbytes, we feel that it comes across more as a gimmick, than something you will internalize and use for your benefit.
If you commit to using at least one of these techniques, we’re sure you’ll find yourself getting closer to the goals you’ve set for yourself–and having more time and less stress.
We have a number of techniques we’ve shortlisted which we believe you will get the most benefit from. These include:
- How you can squeeze more time out of the day
- How to better manage your online correspondence
- How to achieve inbox zero
- And two other topics which will help you get faster and stronger
By the way, who the hell are you? Are you legit?
Hey, that’s a fair question. Both of us have worked online for some time and our reputation is important to us. Because both of us work in content marketing and social media, everything we do is in public view.
You can take a look at our LinkedIn profiles to see what some of our associates have said about us:
This online stuff is what we do and we plan to be here for a long time.
“Okay, I am interested.” What you need to put in:
Just as we plan to give our 100% to helping you (that’s 200%, folks–from different corners of the Earth!)–we want you to put $10 into our project.
We don’t want people who will treat our stuff like a work of fiction – to read it, maybe be entertained for a few hours, then go back to their regular old life.
From our experience, if you have a little skin in the pot, you’re more likely to take action.
Think of this as not just voting for us with your wallet, it is also shifting up a gear in something you’re doing.
(Otherwise, it’d be silly to buy something, then do nothing, right?)
Here are some sweeteners to help you commit to our validation:
We’ll show you how we put our product together.
You’ll see the process, the thinking behind doing what we do and how the pieces fit together into a whole.
If you’re doing something similar, you can see how our system works, then replicate it for yourself.
Andrew’s favorite quote from a Buddhist reverend is: “To know, and not to do, is not to know.”
Think about that for a second.
Still reading? Come punish us if we fail to deliver. Make yourself some money.
So like Noah, we believe in the carrot-and-stick AKA pain-and-pleasure principle.
We both like challenges. When we hear that something can’t be done, we want to burst expectations and limiting beliefs and realized that it’s just a self-created obstacle.
So we’re going to say that when you put $10 into our project, you will get the finished product (most likely in PDF format) in your hands by August 11.
We want you to be happy with your purchase too, so here are 2 guarantees:
Guarantee #1: Delivery
If you DON’T get your life hacking guide by August 11, we will refund you your $10 AND pay you an extra $40.
So you will get $50. That’s a 400% ROI hinging on our failure. How’s that as a motivation for us to succeed? Andrew won’t be buying craft beer for a loooong time…. nyuk, nyuk.
Caveat: We have to limit this validation to 100 buyers as Andrew only has $4k in his PayPal account and this is “Make $1k in a month”, not “Go into debt in a month.”
He can potentially lose $4,000 if he doesn’t deliver. (He promises not to buy so many virtual coins in Candy Crush Saga this month…)
Guarantee #2: 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee
We want you to be 100% happy with the stuff we’re sharing in the guide. If you don’t feel it’s worth it, you can message Andrew and he’ll do a full refund of your $10.
Does this sound fair?
If so, come join the adventure:
Sorry folks, this offer is sold out at the $10 price. You snooze, you lose!
(The link above will be removed once we hit 100 purchases – not artificial scarcity, but because Andrew only has that much in his PayPal….)
See you there!
